Title: Periodic "egrep" process high cpu usage
Post by: iffster1 on March 21, 2023, 04:06:35 PM
Hello

There is a periodic (every 2-3 minutes) "egrep <-[^<]*<-|->[^-]*-> " followed by "egrep -v <-[^<]*<-|->[^-]*->" process that eats one core on 100% for around a minute. (Xeon X5650 2.6ghz)
What spawns it and what's it for?

Thank you

It's for RRD (health) graphs but the egrep was replaced by a much better performing Pyton script in 23.1.4.

Cheers,
