Title: Boot fails with HDMI unplugged

New install of 23.1_6 here on the following hardware

Anphurk H3 Mini PC
Intel Celeron J4125,
16GB DDR4,
128GB SSD,
HDMI+VGA,
2×RS232 COM,
2*RTL8168/8111 Gigabit RJ45 Lan

Installation of went just fine with HDMI but when I power down and disconnect the screen for comms cab install the system fails to boot. Get the initial POST beeps but nothing more.   

Any suggestions ?

PS: Or there might be a BIOS option to disable graphics completely (install with serial console). But you might have to reset BIOS (unplug battery) to gain graphics back. Or enter/navigate BIOS blindly to enable graphics back (advanced... ;-) ).

Fake HDMI frobs are ca. 5 bucks a piece, come on ...
