Title: [SOLVED] Port Range creation not working
Post by: Scalf on June 22, 2016, 02:04:57 PM
Dear members

I've got a really weird problem. I'm trying to create a port range under Firewall --> Aliases --> Ports. If I Add a new port alias there is always an error saying:

The following input errors were detected: 20:25 doesn't appear to be a valid port number

Have you got any ideas how to solve that "bug".
In every documentation is explained that a port range will be separated with a colonn...

Thank you for your answers

The first thing to mention is that you haven't stated which version of OPNsense you're using. FWIW, defining a port range with a colon works fine for me on the current (and previous releases) release 16.1.1.7. You should also make sure you don't have any additional spaces on the line at the end of the ports range, that will cause problems.

Hi Bill

Sorry you're right.
I'm using Version 16.1.8-amd64, and it is still not working...

It's been a while since I added any extra aliases into my firewall so I can only suggest you update to the most recent and try it there, I've just added some new aliases on my FW and it works fine. As I also mentioned you should make sure you're not adding a space into the entry of the ports entry as that will cause you a problem.
