Hello together,
I bought an ASRock NUC BOX-J6412 (because of it's two network interfaces) and I qould run OPNsense on it.
But I can't. :-\
My startup from USB device ends very fast with:
atrtc0: <AT realtime clock> port 0x70 irq 8 on isa0
atrtc0: Warning: Couldn't map I/O.
atrtc0: registered as a time-of-day clock, resolution 1.000000s
Event timer "RTC" frequency 32768 Hz quality 0
after that, nothing happens.
Can someone help?
Many thanks
ToWa
Have you tried booting any other OS on the box, e.g. NomadBSD
https://nomadbsd.org/
? Just an idea....
Except trying other FreeBSD-based systems like @chemlud mentioned, I suggest (running Windows if installer needs one and) updating all BIOS/UEFI/MEI/firmware etc. everything you can.
Disable secure boot. Leave UEFI, but disable secure boot!
In case you manage to install, I suggest trying Realtek drivers available in Plugins section.
Please do speedtest on 1Gbps net and share the results, since on WYSE 5070 (older celeron) I have 600Mbps max, while on Mikrotik I have almost 1Gbps.
Many thanks for help.
I try to run nomadbsd (ZFS) and get the same error. :-\
After that I run Windows (10) setup from stick which works very well.
- BIOS is up to date
- SecureBoot is disabled
- TPM is disabled
- Audio Controller disabled
- COM Port disabled
But I think it's working now... I loaded BIOS Defaults so TPM, Audio and COM will be enabled and I can boot to NomadBSD and OPNsense.
@CobraPL
I doesn't need very high performance it have to be a stable and running system for special use. 8)
