Title: Question about PC Engines Coreboot developer miczyg
Post by: Gary7 on December 04, 2022, 10:01:19 PM
My firewall is a PC Engines APU2 and I keep up with PC Engines on GitHub (https://pcengines.github.io/)

Does anybody know about miczyg, Michał Żygowski ?
There have been no updates for PC Engines since late August 2022.
The last activity on GitLab for Michał was on September 30, 2022.
I know that he has worked very hard on PC Engines CoreBoot.
Is he OK or is he taking some time away from PC Engines CoreBoot ?

It is not only miczyg, but whole 3mdeb team stopped work on PC Engines. We hope to have some announcements about the reasons for slow down and explain what would be the path forward in upcoming announcements.

My first guess was that they are working on a new board from PCengines, but that seems to be unlikely now.

If you're concerned, you could try reaching out to him on GitHub or other channels. Sending a friendly message to check in might be a nice gesture.
In the meantime, keep an eye on the PC Engines GitHub page. Updates might come sooner or later. Developers often surprise us with their amazing work! If you have any problems with developers in the future, you could try your hand at https://jasper.studio ; it's really easy. Good luck!
