Title: How to setup access to my NAS?
Post by: HolGORE on September 23, 2022, 11:36:39 AM
Hello!
i just setup my OPNsense and i'm pretty new to this topic.
currently i'm wondering how i can setup the access to my NAS.

i want to share my QNAP links with my friends (port 443).

The port forwarding from fritzbox to OPNsense is working as it looks like.
i get a request at the firewall is from 192.168.10.8:443
The "static / default deny Rule" is blocking it.

i tried different rules, but it didnt work.

how do i have to setup it as firewall rules??

thanks!

Never expose your QNAP (QNAP related services such as HTTPS) to WAN!
There are massive attacks at the moment again, its the third "deadbold" wave this year.
If you want to share files, create a VPN for your friends or use, if necessary, myqnapcloud LINK (QNAP cloud-based connection service) for remote access.

Setup a VPN (wireguard/openvpn), much safer than exposing ports to the internet

Tunnel into VPN and have full access to everything inside your local LAN
