Title: sysctl dev.cpu.0.temperature doesn't match temperature on Dashboard
Post by: tracker on September 13, 2022, 07:44:43 PM
Perhaps I am misunderstanding the command, but I am trying to create a monit alarm for CPU temperatures, and the number I am retrieving from sysctl is not matching the dashboard by a large margin!

Is there any kind of math I need to do to get the real temp in a script?
Thanks

Just check it on my machine (HP T620 Plus) and Dashboard was showing the correct temps.
Do keep in mind the Dashboard only updates every so many seconds.

But a 13C difference isn't OK, unless you have a Intel CPU which can rapidly have a lower or higher temp?
