Hello All,
I am new to OPNsense, but very familiar with firewalls in general ( Firepower, Palo, Sophos etc). I am encountering strange behaviour when upgrading to the latest version 22.1.9. the situation is as follows:
1) I do a Clean install and setup my LAN and VLANs (4VLANS) on 22.1.2. This is on VMware ESXi - Everything works A-OK. Im a happy camper. I have two vNICs connected one LAN and one WAN.
2) I take a snapshot in VMWARe, Attempt to go to 22.1.9 the updates work, but then all traffic routing ceases on all VLANs. I can ping the gateway, and access the Web UI, but cannot access internet.
Any steps to troubleshoot would be appreciated. I have tried this like 5x now, and keep having to roll back.
Firewall rules on the VLAN interfaces? DNS issue?
Check VLAN rules, DNS and routing.
I had similar issue few years back when I had 3 VLANs and noticed routing was the culprit.
