Title: Speedtest - Select WAN Port
Post by: tracerrx on April 11, 2022, 05:01:55 PM
Is there a parameter we can pass to speedtest to specify which WAN gateway to use in a multi-wan setup?  Currently it just grabs the default WAN.  Would be nice to be able to run Speedtest on WAN1 and WAN2.

What kind of speed test are you referring to?

Basically theres a need to change the routing table to the desired WAN. This is what happens automatically when a WAN with higher priority goes down and up.
When using a speedtest running on the sense itself, all traffic originated from the sense must be routed to the desired WAN, running speedtest on a client machine, its traffic must be routed corresponding.

I dont think there is a way to do this in an other way than changing the routing table (or policy based routing).

The easiest way to run speedtest on the desired WAN is to mark all other gateways temporarily as down.
