I have created a reservation and REMOVED the suggested ip address.
Would this result, in the device, at least having a damn name in the leases section so I know what device is what?
(I tire of devices without any description, my crappy TPLink gear lets me bind a name to a mac address)

Do you need this for firewall rules? You can define an alias for a MAC address.
