Title: [SOLVED] Lost access to the Internet
Post by: hushcoden on February 21, 2022, 04:51:45 PM
I did a reboot and I lost Internet connectivity, no idea what happened: can someone kindly guide me how to troubleshoot it?

Please be patient with me as I'm not a techie  ::)

Tia.

can you access the firewall still? does it show the IP you expect it to show in the interfaces part of the main dashboard?
what did you change on the firewall before you rebooted and it stopped working?  what provides the internet?  a cable modem/dsl model or something?  can you reboot that too, maybe its not picked up the IP address again. I've had that sometimes with my crappy ISP provided cable modem

Are you using the alias in a FW rule?

The simple solution is to just revert to your previous boot-environment and/or config backup, surely ?

Then you can figure out what went wrong at your leisure :)

PS. Oh, soz just saw you fixed it by reverting a change. BTDT ;)
