Title: os-pppoe (missing)
Post by: gdur on February 07, 2022, 11:49:44 AM
Because I feld insecure to upgrade my 21.7 version to 22.1 I decided to do a fresh install and using the latest 21.7 backup. I noticed that os-pppoe was marked obsolete (or something like that) in the 21.7 instance. Now in the new 22.1 install os-pppoe is marked "missing" but pppoe is just working fine(???). Should I remove os-pppoe and if yes how to do that ???

os-pppoe used to be the PPPoE server until 2020(?), not the interface client which is still there.

If you don't use it do a plugin resolve from the firmware: status page (there is an exclamation mark indicating the need for interaction).

Hi, thanks for your answer however;
Running the automatic resolver does nothing and leaves PPPoE untouched.
This is the output:
***GOT REQUEST TO SYNC***

All repositories are up to date.
pkg: No packages available to install matching 'os-pppoe' have been found in the repositories

Nothing to do.

You can't sync something that is no longer available, you need to reset the configuration from that same drop-down.

Hi Franco,
Thanks for that as well. I wasn't sure that that was the right option.
