hi all,
installed the new DDNS client on opnsense but i dont know if its working, how can i know if its working
the old DDNS client there was a "test config and save" button and also there was a widget on the dashboard
thanks,

On Debian you can do with sudo ddclient -debug -verbose -noquiet
The output looks like
[...]
RECEIVE: <html><head><title>Current IP Check</title></head><body>Current IP Address: 37.xx.xxx.xxx</body></html>
DEBUG: get_ip: using web, http://checkip.dyndns.org/ reports 37.xxx.xxx.xxx
SUCCESS: DOMAIN1.ddnss.de: skipped: IP address was already set to 37.xxx.xxx.xxx.
SUCCESS: DOMAIN2.spdns.de: skipped: IP address was already set to 37.xxx.xxx.xxx.
Not sure if this will work for the plugin too.

Safest: Log in at your dnydns provider and look at the logs, when last update was successfull/failed...
nice thanks, followed this guide as it was in depth
https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=4182.0
but i do have to say, this new DDNS client is not even comparable to the old one, have no idea why they got rid of the old one!!!!!!!!!
ive reverted back to the old DDNS package, can this PLEASE be looked at!
Sure, we might as well improve ddclient plugin after this invaluable feedback in 22.1.1 which is the first update it can possibly get!!!!!!!!!
thanks
as when i used the new client i went back on my "noip" website and it didnt update as "last update" was saying yesterday instead of today
when i reverted back to the old client, my "noip" website said "last update" was literally when i clicked the save and test button
