Title: Port Forwarding not Working
Post by: opnplsm on December 04, 2021, 05:44:26 AM
It should be simple and straight forward, but I've spend 4 days on it and hitting a wall at this time.

Trying to make a simple port forwarding rules work on OPNsense. I have server running web service and Synology pictures and need to access it from the outside of the network.

There is a strange flood of entries in logs whenever I try to access service from outside. But no connection is made.

The logs are showing a different WAN rule?

Yes, for every rule/service I get same sort of log entries.

So it looks fine? Packets come in on WAN and then go out of LAN to your synology. I think you need to look at the synology, eg whether there is a firewall blocking traffic or some config limiting what IPs can access it

Yeah, the services work fine on the inside of the network. I can access them just fine. Just can not access them from outside. And when it tries to connect from the outside, the connection is not dropped right away it keeps on spinning. But nothing comes up.

What is the value of synology_server alias?

Why does the firewall log show port 5001?

Can you try just http.
