It says it made a core dump, but I don't see one. Anyone else seeing this?
It seems(?) to be related to renew, and on ATT Fiber if that helps any.
Does anyone have any clues at all on this? How can I get stuff to help get it diagnosed and hopefully fixed?
No other reports of this AFAIK. Firstly, can you set log level to debug for dhcp6c. If there's a core dump, I think it ends up in root, but I may be wrong.
Just once, or is it a repeat offender...?
repeat offender on a regular basis. Where do I set the debug level for dhcp6c?
Hopefully this isn't due to comments or invisible white space in that override script...!
Not sure about setting debug level. @marjohn56 would know better.
Perhaps you could run it from the console shell in debug and foreground modes...
Wish I could help more but offline for next several hours... 8^d
i found the core. I just had a system panic, which I dutifully sent to the developers. We'll see if the dhcp6c stuff calms down.
Where can I get the symbols for dhcp6c?
I also have the level set to debug on the interfaces -> Settings page. Any help is appreciated. Also more than happy to arrange access. (It's my home FW).

Yes, it's at debug. What can I offer to help here?
so far, post-panic, It's been stable. We'll see.
still been stable.
How often does your lease renew?
looks like 30 minutes from the log....

ISP being a silly bugger then.. should really be no less than 24 hours, preferably 7 days, there's not exactly a shortage of v6 addresses!
I think your dhcp6c just had a random moment.
Nothing from ATT surprises me :).
Would RADVD parameters have anything to do with this?
I have my Att RG in passthrough mode, and that lease is 1day+10 minutes, but I'm not sure how to find out if ATT is being stupid here.
To be honest, as you are over on that side of the pond, I'd be tempted to use a Hurricane Electric tunnel. Free and a static /48. Plus you can also freely edit the DNS records too. I have dhcpv6 on my system, if it was not for the fact that the PC's think they are in New York ( as that's where the HE Tunnel addresses are ) then I'd go with it. I had to use it for a short while when I changed to the ISP I am now using as they had an issue with IPv6 on my circuit. Speed etc were first class.
As a side noe, my lease time is 48 hours, but they are pretty sticky too, so chances of it changing are remote.
I'm not sure ATT's network will ALLOW an HE.NET tunnel, plus this is native IPv6. I'll watch it for a while.
I'd still like to know what dhcp6c was doing to get the SIGBUS.
Does OPNSENSE publish the debug files?
No they don't publish the files, the source is there for you to compile and do what you wish with.
Doesn't matter if it's native or not, it's just pushed through Ipv4 on the WAN. From the LAN side you cannot tell the difference.
