Title: OPNsense setup WAN LAN and extra wired ethernet internet
Post by: brock44 on July 02, 2021, 06:24:26 pm
Greetings,

I'm back to OPNsense after a brief run using an ubiquity router. Anyhow, I have my WAN setup on Ethernet port 0(DHCP ISP), Ethernet 1 is LAN at 192.1681.1 and is working fine with some Aircubes WIFI (2 to be exact) and then a 3rd Ethernet hardwired going from my router to my desktop computer that's hardwired 100 feet away from router.

How do I get my last Ethernet port that is hardwired from router to my desktop computer with Ethernet to pick up on the internet connection from WAN? With ubiquity edge-max I just plugged in the Ethernet to the back of my desktop and had internet instantly getting almost 1 gig speeds.

I can't get internet that is hardwired on eth3. I can connect it to Wifi LAN no problem

I do have internet just fine from original WAN port and LAN wireless.

Thanks.

I figured it out.

I followed this tutorial for noobs like me.

Any recommendations on a switch? I use the ubiquiti aircubes for AP and repeater, maybe go with an edgeswitch?
