Title: How to block a port
Post by: atish on June 01, 2021, 04:28:33 PM
Still learning and new

I did a grc shields up scan and two ports which are not stealth, 135 and 445.

I tried to create a rule in firewall to block the port on the WAN, however the port option is greyed out and will not let me enter the port.

What am i doing incorrectly.

Please guide.
thanks

The setting for "Protocol" defaults to ANY. If you select TCP/UDP here you can input the port number.

And on WAN it should be blocked anyway if you do not allow it explicitly (as in any other network)

by default every port is not allowed to get in, unless you did create a rule for...
maybe your ISP is blocking those ports?
