Title: Partial VLAN traffic passed
Post by: olsenwc on May 12, 2021, 04:58:30 AM
My current configuration has seven vlans.  I have configured them to go through a single interface, but only 2 maybe three of the VLANs pass any traffic.  Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening?

Is the single interface connected to a switch? I would double check that they are all configured the same way. And if there is a switch,  someone who had a similar issue got all the VLAN's working by restarting the switch.

Do you have firewall allow rules on the VLAN interfaces?

I do have the vlan firewall rules configured to allow all.  I have attempted the restart and reconfiguration of the switch.

When I was running opnsense as a virtual machine I needed to have two NICs for all vlan traffic to pass.  There seemed to be an issue with the single NIC handling the traffic.

I used to run four VLANs on top of the LAN NIC without issue. Have since moved them to another NIC as there were suggestions here that running tagged and untagged networks on the same NIC could cause unexpected firewall behaviour
