Title: Unable to access gui after lan ip change.
Post by: Ikes_72000 on April 26, 2021, 10:52:36 PM

Hi,

After changing lan ip on a fresh install, i'm unable to access gui, but I can ping the new address.
If I revert to old ip, with ssh, it work again.
I have the same problem on another fresh install, both opnsense running on an esxi (two differents servers) .

Thanks.

Sounds like firewall is blocking the access to webgui after you change your LAN IP.

There are few options, first change the IP address and reboot via eSXI terminal, if that doesn't help, then it means your firewall lacks anti-lockout rules.

This don't work, so I revert to old IP.
Now I have a new problem, i can't access to system / settings / administration, and only this menu, all other menus works.

FYI.  I'm currently on v21.1.5. I recently changed my LAN IP from 192.168.1.1 to 10.0.0.1 and I had no problem accessing the GUI after the change. However, I changed the LAN IP using the console option designed for specifically doing that, rather than making the IP change via the GUI.
