Title: Assigning static IPs
Post by: cyberherb on April 21, 2021, 04:22:36 PM
Good day all.  I am new to OPNsense and have just configured it for use on my home network.  I have created the DHCP pool and everything is connecting to the internet.  I would like to assign static IPs to a couple devices on the network by MAC address.  Where can I do this within OPNsense?  Thank you in advance.

I believe I have found the answer to my own question.  I navigated to Services-->DHCPv4-->Leases and found a table with everything that is connected to my network.  On the far right of each appliance there is an Add Button that will allow me to add a static mapping to that MAC address.

Yep, you got it. Additionally, if you navigate to Services-->DHCPv4-->[Interface Name] and scroll to the bottom, you will see the list of static mappings for that interface along with an add button (+) to manually add a mapping for that interface.
