Title: Bug: Interfaces: Point-to-Point: Devices
Post by: meschmesch on April 11, 2021, 03:44:16 PM
Hello,
I have an LTE Stick attached to a USB port which upon attachment shows up as /dev/cuaU1.0 (Huawei Technology...) in Interfaces: Point-to-Point: Devices.

Bug1: I have to set an init String Z. However, after having added the device an enabling of the interface, the init string is empty again. So I have to set the init string again.
Bug2: After a reboot the lte stick still shows up on the correct interface but it fails to "restart". It is constantly trying to dial out but fails because of "Invalid dial init string". This can only be solved my manually removing the lte stick from the USB port, attach again, change under Interfaces: Point-to-Point: Devices to the new appeared interface, and then of course deal with the first bug again mentioned before.

On can deal with all this, but there is no unattended reboot with manual detachment of the USB stick possible.
