Title: [HELP] OPNsense is not detecting 10GbE NICs
Post by: razexzzz on April 04, 2021, 07:41:30 PM
So I have recently purchased this super micro server https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/system/1U/1019/SYS-1019P-FHN2T.cfm (https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/system/1U/1019/SYS-1019P-FHN2T.cfm) but I can not get the 2 10GbE nics to show up.

Looked at this post about a broadcom 25GbE not being found but that is due to other drivers for broadcom. https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=21447.0 (https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=21447.0) I tried to look for drivers for supermicro thinking it might be the same thing, but could not find it.

Then I downloaded the plugins/src/ports from git and transferred them to the machine to try and compile the driver myself but it seems that the if_ixl.ko is already on it for the x722. Followed this post about doing that. https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=21517.0 (https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=21517.0)

What am I missing to get this working?

Compile the driver yourself. It's not that difficult.
