Title: Gateway Stats Blank
Post by: rtadams89 on March 30, 2021, 05:51:42 AM
I'm in the progress of moving from pfSense to OPNsense. I have nearly everything migrated over, with just a few odds and ends left. One of those, is getting my gateway monitors to display correctly. I believe I have network monitoring configured correctly, and each of my WANs shows as online, but nietherr show anything for RTT, RTTd, or Loss.

Attached is a picture of what I see (note, the RTT, RTTd, and Loss values for both gatesways are just "~") as well as how i have the monitor configured.

What is wrong?

I don't have 'Upstream Gateway' checked, otherwise my config is the same as yours. Specifying a monitor IP is only necessary when the gateway doesn't respond to ping requests.

Same here.... it just checks the gw.

I think I found half the issue. As mentioned, I am migrating from pfSense. In pfSense, the values are specified in milliseconds whereas in OPNsense, they are in seconds. I have divided all my values by 1000 to get them into seconds and now my primary gateway reports stats as expected.

My secondary gateway still does not show any stats however. Looking at my running services, I see dpinger specifically mentions my primary gateway, but not the secondary. Does OPNsense not support monitoring two gateways?

It does
But the monitor IP has to be different.

But also look at your Monitoring options (timeout,...) search in the forum for it I posted my Values somewhere
