Title: dynDNS pligin - misconfig?
Post by: chemlud on March 13, 2021, 09:19:37 PM
Hi!

Had a look at the plugins and found the info "misconfigured" for the dnyDNS plugin, no idea why, the updates for the WAN are flawless, according to the log file...

Have more than one dynDNS configured for WAN, as the services are not 100% reliable (backups).

What is the meaning of this message?

Hi,

I found this while searching https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=21971.msg103996 (https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=21971.msg103996), because my box shows the same. And I installed the os-rfc2136 plugin. The os-dyndns was installed, I guess as a dependency.

My dyn service is absolutely reliable, but uses only rfc2136.

   Version   Size   Repository   Comment
os-dyndns (misconfigured)   1.23_2   160KiB   OPNsense   Dynamic DNS Support

Best regards, Uwe

Hi wurm! edit: loch :-D

Many thanks, I searched for the "misconfig" but did not find anything useful... Reinstalling the dyndns resolved it.
