Post by: chemlud on February 10, 2021, 09:12:51 PM
Box is on 29.7.8_4, started uptdating in GUI about an hour ago, all I see is

***GOT REQUEST TO UPGRADE: maj***
Fetching packages-21.1-LibreSSL-amd64.tar: .(...)..

What should I do next, I don't see something as an update process that is going forward

...
37962 root 52 0 1037M 3568K wait 3 4:17 0.00% /bin/sh /var/db/rrd/updaterrd.sh

Not sure, try manually to see how the speed is...

# fetch https://pkg.opnsense.org/FreeBSD:12:amd64/20.7/sets/packages-21.1-LibreSSL-amd64.tar

Large file, who knows.

Cheers,

...I chose a reboot and started over the update from GUI. The otherwise rock-solid internet connection dropped twice during download, resulting in the stop of the download (as seen in first post). Nightmare. Then the packages got installed, but the base/kernel stalled again twice, no way to get the download started again (restart of dhcpd brough IP on WAN back). So another two reboots/starts of update from GUI later everything was installed.

Never had something like this before...
