Maybe you missed it:

Guys from Ntop build an own repo and plugin where you can use the latest and greatest build and you can choose to run community version or add your license key and run enterprise ntopng
Thanks for the hint.
If one is sticking to the community edition: Are threre any disadvantages if one stays with the current community plugin from OPNsense? Or is it recommended either way to choose the plugin from ntopng?
Some are reporting Performance issue with community plugin, some want newer version. If community is fine, no need to switch
I remember reading somewhere on pfSense forums that freeBSD port of ntopng doesn't accept any of available licenses that are sold through ntopng store.
I am running the latest ntopng with a forced --community switch, otherwise my ntopng crashes after 10 mins. The problem is that --community switch cannot be added through GUI and needs to be tinkered manually into ntopng.conf
As of today, the ntopng-enterprise plugin includes a "Community Mode" flag, and it should work with both an Enterprise license or without the license (in demo mode, without crashing after 10 minutes :-) ). The plugin has been improved in the last weeks, thus I suggest to update and try the new version.
