i was looking into enabling IPv6 and for some reason now I can't stop the IPv6 dhcp server.
On the dashboard it shows the ipv6 dhcp server/service is not running but if O try to save the ipv6 settings under interface Lan to "none" from "dhcp6" it tells me the dhcp6 server is running and that needs to stop first.
I looked everywhere, unchecked it under firewall rules and rebooted the router but still seeing the error.
Screenshot please. Best guess: you have IPv6 enabled on WAN/LAN but it doesn't work.
Cheers,
Franco
Look in the screenshots, when I save Lan IPv6 dhcp to "none", I get the errir.
So disable it on the LAN interface under Services -> DHCPv6?
Under LAN I only see dhcp6 related are
leases
relay
...
Click on [LAN] under the Services -> DHCPv6 menu and uncheck the Enable checkbox, then click Save
I only see relay and leases under dhcp6.
I see. So under Interfaces -> LAN, tick Allow manual adjustment of DHCPv6... at the bottom and save, apply and then go back to the Services section
Actually, i see you don't get that option with DHCPv6 selected as IPv6 Config Type. So change it to Track Interface
I could not figure it out so ended up restoring a backup from last week and all is good.
thanks for your help.
