Title: os-rfc2136 plugin does not support newer HMAC-SHA384 key algorithm
Post by: foxdoismil on October 27, 2020, 12:36:39 AM
I am trying to convert a pfsense configuration to opnsense and just hit this limitation:
Opnsense os-rfc2136 supports the legacy HMAC-MD5 but still does not support the other newer HMAC-SHA1, HMAC-SHA224, HMAC-SHA256, HMAC-SHA384 and HMAC-SHA512.

I would like to learn if opnsense plans to implement the missing key algorithms.

If this is not the right place to ask for, please let me know where to post a feature request

If you decide to take care of this, please take also into consideration that this plugin could be inserted into the Dynamic DNS plugin (I first installed this plugin and it was only after checking the forum that I noticed that there was a different plugin for self hosted DynamiDNS).

Thanks

Hi,

I would really appreciate a current and up-to-date RFC2136 implementation in OPNsense. I use it a lot since a long time with my own service to prevent the use of a third-party dyndns servive (especially the big red one).
