Title: Automatic authentication by ip address.
Post by: rgza on October 19, 2020, 01:58:53 PM
Hello.

Version of OPNsense - 20.7.3

I read the setup instructions - Documentaion/wiki & forum.

But I can't find an answer to my question.

Can the firewall perform automatic authentication by ip address?

For example: set the ip address to a specific username and then pass verification in the proxy.

What do you exactly mean with "ip authentication"? From security perspective an ip address is not an authentication attribute.

In the commercial analog of OPNsense, there is a setting where in the local database administrator can set to the user an a specific ip address. This setting allows the user to automatically connect to the proxy without entering a username and password.
