Hi guys, I have working on a mini project for about 2 months now and now I am at this stage where I have a baremetal server running OPNsense 20.7 and I was naughty and installed SoftetherVPN via shell but afterwards i disabled the SHH access.
But what I stupidly did was at first bridged the LAN then after I did the same for WAN and now I am locked out the server. I cant log in with Softether on any of its ports and I cant load my OPNsense gui anymore either.
I would like to know if there is a way to salvage this or a way to disable I was to contact the ISP and see if the can do it via CLI? or even better if I can revive it?
I am really out of ideas and so your advice would be greatly appreciated.
If the only way is to have the ISP connect to it what do they have to type in the shell in order to diable Softether??
Or worst case do I have no choice but to reinstall it?
Connect a monitor and keyboard and restore an older config
Thanks for the reply but its bare metal server is in a data centre which I do not have physical access to.
Is there another way?
Again thank you for your reply.
No IPMI/BMC console?
I think they do have access to a console, can you share the command to uninstall softether?
Thank you very much.
I will try to get them to restore from a backup I have made. Fingers crossed.
This is solved Thank you for your help.
