Title: accessing 192.168.1.1 only works when wired
Post by: datayoda on September 25, 2020, 06:35:51 AM
I can get to the webui using a wired connection, but it never resolves when I do it over wireless. What setting do I need to set to enable that. Internet works fine wired or wireless; I just can not access IPs wirelessly that are on my network from devices. thanks!

First thing to check is the IP address, gateway etc of a wireless device, make sure it matches that of the rest of the LAN. Silly I know, but is there a dhcp server in the WAP that's turned on?

yep.

LAN    192.168.1.39    cc:32:e5:4c:d4:1a
   EAP245-CC-32-E5-4C-D4-1A       2020/10/01 04:05:37 UTC    2020/10/01 06:05:37 UTC       active

There is a DHCP on the WAN but if I turn that off, then I loose internet

figured it out. it was not opnsense causing the issue. my eap245 tp link had my wireless network guest mode enabled, causing the issue.
