Title: How to remove cloud backup credentials?
Post by: Patrick M. Hausen on August 07, 2020, 09:20:35 PM
Hi all,

I set up automatic Nextcloud backup for my OPNsense, but essentially I wanted more control over the process and preferably everything in git.

So I discovered the os-api-backup plugin. Works. Great.

But how can I actually delete my Nextcloud credentials from OPNsense? The screenshot shows the "Backups" UI, there is no "Save", just a "Setup/Test" button. Which triggers an action that of course fails if I clear all the fields.

Thanks,
Patrick

As far as I can remember that button tries to save and if that is successful, it will trigger a backup. So in your case, the empty field is already saved.

Nope, which is my point. I greyed out all the details. If I empty the fields, the UI won't let me save.

I saved a manual configuration backup, removed the credentials from the XML file, then did a configuration restore.
