Yesterday updated 20.1 to 20.7
Been using Wifi network card as secondary WAN, so in client mode.
After updating, driver for wifi card is gone as it don.t see anymore device.
WFI network card is this.
lsusb from Linux, not from firewall:
QuoteID 0bda:8179 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188EUS 802.11n Wireless Network Adapter
That means you discountined older drivers?
What was the driver name?
Cheers,
Franco
can see just interface name.
urtwn0_wlan1
can.t tell more because even terminal not showing it anymore.
Thanks, from FreeBSD UPDATING file:
20161017:
The urtwn(4) driver was merged into rtwn(4) and now consists of
rtwn(4) main module + rtwn_usb(4) and rtwn_pci(4) bus-specific
parts.
Also, firmware for RTL8188CE was renamed due to possible name
conflict (rtwnrtl8192cU(B) -> rtwnrtl8192cE(B))
Cheers,
Franco
Now im confused...
In assigments i can change to rtwn, but in wireless settings it no showing it anyway.
Ehh, anyway. Order PCI-E wifi card. Hope it will work.
Cant restart firewall at the moment, but will try to restart it again, maybe will work this as well.
Don't assign the parent to the interface. You need to create a wireless clone from the parent interface.
Cheers,
Franco
I Deleted it from everywhere . When i trying to clone it. its not showing up in menu...
I need to give up today because i cant restart firewall soon.
Unfortunately downgraded back to 20.1 as 20.7 allowed ONLY assign wifi card. In Wireless -> Devices its not showing up at all.
