Title: Error creating ng_pppoe node on pppoe0
Post by: andrema2 on July 23, 2020, 10:58:34 PM
Hi

I'm trying to connect OPNSense direct to my ISP using their MODEM only as a MODEM not a router.
I changed the WAN interface to PPPOE, but I gives me a series of error msg and never connects.
These are the error msgs

ppp: [wan_link0] Link: reconnection attempt 17
ppp: [pppoe0] Cannot send a netgraph message: pppoe0:: No such file or directory
ppp: [wan_link0] PPPoE: Error creating ng_pppoe node on pppoe0:
ppp: [wan_link0] PPPoE node for link is not initialized
ppp: [wan_link0] Link: DOWN event
ppp: [wan_link0] LCP: Down event
ppp: [wan_link0] Link: reconnection attempt 18 in 4 seconds

I tried to delete the interface and recreate it, but the error is the same.

I'm running 2.1.8_1 version

Never saw this one, did you Google for the error message? Maybe realtek driver?
