Title: Monitoring
Post by: Darkopnsense on April 18, 2020, 11:00:33 AM
Hello community,

I want to go to the monitoring stage but active elements
switches (netgear, tp-link, zyxel)
wifi controller (tp-link, zyxel)
Inverters (riello)
nas (netgear, synology)
printer
nvr (dahua, hikvision)
posts (windows)

I looked at the list of plugins.

A recommendation, a recommendation, a comment to start well.

Regards,

The plug-in depends on your monitoring solution. If you are using zabbix, there is a plug-in, for nagios I think, too and a generic snmp plug-in.

Hi @hbc,

Thank you for your answer, I did not choose a monitoring solution (prtg, nagios, nms, others).
As indicated I looked at the list of plugins (os-munin-node, os-netdata, os-nrpe, os-zabbix).
Starting from a blank page, I wanted feedback from the community. Have a majority consensus of what this practice in production in this area.

Something that works even with limited functionality.
In short, wise advice, who would say take this solution with this plugin and try to deploy it and make it work, you will see the result should be satisfactory.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Regards,

At my company we use Zabbix, but I have seen customers with Observium which looks quite amazing when monitoring OPNsense and network Equipment

Hello @mimugmail,

Thank you for the answer, I did not know Observium, this product looks simple and limited, but for an introduction it should suit me before going up in functionality.
Implementation to follow ...

You might want to take a look at LibreNMS, a fork of Observium and a better community: https://docs.librenms.org/General/Welcome-to-Observium-users/
