Title: Accounting employees traffic usage
Post by: aaa.aaa on February 23, 2020, 06:46:17 PM
hi
i have a opnsense installed in our company as firewall and i should set a limit to users data usage.
i know in pfsense i can do it with  captive portal and freeradius package but in opnsense there no option about traffic usage. i searched  a lot and i think i found a solution like installing freeradius on other server and connect it to opnsense CP .but the problem is i can't find any  documention or guide how to do config accounting ,any body could  give me a soultion?
tnx

do you mean wan traffic? there's "Per host bandwidth throttling (kbps)" on the web proxy that could works (I never tried it).

With squid (the build in web proxy) there should be some possibility to achieve per user limits (or at least priority), but not sure those options are available using the WUI
