Title: Locked out of gui, any single user edits i can make to switch back to http pls?
Post by: mannp on November 26, 2019, 03:11:30 PM
Wondered if I could edit any config files in single user mode to switch the gui back to http please, so I can get back into the gui.

I don't have ssh access (as until today I didn't figure out how to enable it for a new user :( )

Thanks in advance :)

i never used Single User Mode.

But maybe this one can help you

"When you select reset webgui password(or set interface address) via console you have an option to revert gui to http."

When you change an interface via SSH or console it offers to revert to HTTP. Please note that you may also need a fresh browser which did see HSTS yet.

Thanks very much both for the replies, I will take a look tomorrow when back at the device.

@fabian what do you mean when you say 'change an interface'? a physical interface of the fw?
