Title: vnstatd database permissions [19.7.4_1]
Post by: pilotboy72 on September 13, 2019, 04:40:02 PM
Hello,

Since updating to 19.7.4_1, I'm seeing this message about every minute in the logs:

vnstatd[48386]: Error: Database load failed even when using backup (Permission denied). Aborting.

I'm also not getting any Netflow data at all, and the flowd_aggregate service will not start, and I don't see any messages in the General logs for this.

Any ideas?

Brian

It sounds like database files are trashed. What does your health check output from system: firmware?

Not sure I know exactly what I should look at, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

I have reset the databases and it's working fine now.  Seemed to be tied to another issue with the Netflow database also having its permissions reset.

Do you run /var in ramdisk?

I run /tmp in ramdisk, but not /var.
