Title: dhcpd ignore-client-uids
Post by: comotion on August 23, 2019, 03:29:19 PM
First of all, let me just say I'm very happy with OPNsense.

I've got some clients that boot into two modes one of which doesn't send uids, which means they get different IP addresses when they boot.

I'd like to set the ignore-client-uids option on dhcpd so it can assign the same IP address always.

Is there any way to add custom options to dhcpd.conf through the ui? Or perhaps an option to do so in future versions?

Hi there,

Best to report this directly to https://github.com/opnsense/core/issues/new/choose

Thanks,

i've posted a patch (just a few lines) for this today to the closed issue https://github.com/opnsense/core/issues/3673 (https://github.com/opnsense/core/issues/3673). the issue was automatically closed due to inactivity and i would like to rais attention to my patch so that it might be included in one of the next releases. at the same time i don't have time right now to figure out how to use github and allt hat, so i was hoping that someone of the developers could just take my patch and include that after review into opnsense.

so if anyone around here has the power to re-open that issue that would be great :)

cheers
