Title: Cant access options
Post by: etromania on August 23, 2019, 12:49:16 AM
Yesterday I was setting up ipsec vpn and the system froze. after 2 hours of no response for the webgui I restarted the HW, now i still have zero access to the webgui and on the system directly it only shows the wan and lan ip config. and login, and HTTPS SHA256 and a long string of characters but no login works that I can find

Is it hosed and need reinstalled now? have no way to log in to do anything,

I'm not an expert and this may be wrong but I had a bad config that borked my setup when I initially started to play with OPNsense. I had to connect my monitor and keyboard to the firewall and do a reset to get things back to "factory" settings then re-configured.

Not sure how much work you've put into this so far and if this would be a viable option for you depending on the amount of work done so far.

Ive used pfsence for years. and i though about trying this, but i cant, There are no options when a monitor is connected. see screenshot.

Only shows wan, lan, HTTPS: SHA256 LONG STRING
and Login (which no username credentials seem to work for)

If you have not changed anything the default login should be  root : opnsense
