Hello,
i have updated to opnsense 19.7.2. I have a problem with gateway priorities. I have 3 wan gateways configured as "upstream" and put into some gateway groups for loadbalance and failover. When i set priority for the default one ( so first at 253, second 254, third 255), then the dyndns i have to monitor gw2 and gw3 does not work.
(opnsense: /usr/local/etc/rc.dyndns: Aborted IPv4 detection: Failed to connect to checkip.dyndns.org port 80: Operation timed out)
Also when i go to diagnostics and choose gw2 or gw3 they do not ping. It only works for the gw with the highest priority. Only when they all have the same priority dyndns per gateway works and i can try the diagnostics by choosing the gw i want.
Another thing, when i do changes at the gateway priorities, i get problems to send crash report (already submited)
Thanks
You also have to enable Default Gateway Switching in System : Settings : General
Don't use DynDNS, so no idea for this.
Dear mimugmail, thank you for the answer. The option is already enabled. Internet through the other gateways by manual firewall rules work okay, but firewall services like dyndns, interface diagnostics only work through the higher priority gateway, until all have the same priority number (ex. 255)
Wait for 19.7.3 or apply patch: https://github.com/opnsense/core/commit/7bfadb2acd4660b05d11059152dec7d88a90b288
