Post by: vikozo on May 16, 2019, 07:33:55 am
hello

i have a Plex Server in my LAN to watch some movies
i have also a TV with WLAN Connection!

My TV do conect to the WLAN and get a IP but can't find the PLEXServer which should show up with DLNA?
As i find out Plex would need the Port

TCP 32400  for the Plex Media Server
UDP 1900  for the Plex DLNA Server
TCP 3005  Plex Companion
UDP 5353 network discovery
TCP 8324 Roku via Plex Companion
UDP 32410, 32412, 32413, 32414 network discovery
TCP 32469 Plex DLNA Server

Basicly my TV should only do this nothing more!

any sugestion how to setup?

have a nice day

Use a switch between your LAN and your wireless. Use the firewall between the switch and the internet. Don't use OPNsense as a switch.

Did you bridge the interfaces? Have a search through the forum as well, there are some threads on Plex, upnp, and the likes.

@bart
thanks a lot - the Bridge - did the thing. Only a Bridge nothing else to configure!
