problem "make upgrade"

pkg: No package(s) matching php71-phpseclib

pkg: No packages available to install matching 'php71-phpseclib' have been found
I'm using hyper-v, so I can easily checkpoint a VM and revert if there is a problem. I tried building the latest version. The same error occurred, but make completed, so I rebooted and gave it a try. It seems to work fine.

The website is back up so I downloaded the iso. I installed it on windows server hyper-v 2012R2 using a generation 2 vm. It booted properly. Now, I'm back to the problem where the installer hangs at the point of selecting a guided installation or other installation. I interrupted it with <CTRL-C>, logged in again as installer and this time it proceeded to install. I did not complete the installation, but I think this confirms the fix on hyper-v 2012R2.

The link to the snapshot is not working. The host pkg.opnsense.org is unreachable.

What version of windows server did you use? I have 2012R2. I can test tonight or tomorrow if required.

I just tried a gen 2 installation on hyper-v 2012R2 and it also failed. It hung at stage where guided installation or other types of installation can be selected. <CTRL-C> interrupted the installation for another login, but after that, it hung completely.

Thank you for the help. It was not possible to login using the console, but I was able to get in using SSH. From there, I did another pull and was able to build the latest version. The console is still not working properly, however. When I attempt to login, it says "Login incorrect". It works fine using SSH.

I updated this morning, after a couple of weeks of being away. The version is OPNsense 19.7.a_156-amd64. The configd service will not start and I cannot log into root on the console. It says the password is incorrect. Does anyone have a suggestion how to get around the login problem?

# make upgrade CORE_SQUID=3
That did the trick. Now running 19.7.a_70.

You have to wait until squid pkg is built. If you feel brave to run devel code you should also follow every repo to understand whats going on
Thanks, that's all I need to know. I'm running it on a VM guest, so it's throw a throw-away if something bad happens.

I'm currently running 19.7a_39. Trying to update but can't get make upgrade to complete.

Here is the shell output:

Any suggestions?

After rebooting, I was going to try rebooting again from the gui and I'm getting this error:

OPNsense\Core\HaltController handler class cannot be loaded.

It halted okay from the console.

Reboot seems to be okay.

I rebooted again the problem remained. Seems to be a bug or maybe a left-over from the error during the upgrade.

I halted the VM, then rebooted it. The update completed and afterwards, the system booted properly.

I tried updating my 18.7 system to 19.1 and it would not boot. This is on windows server 2012R2 hyper-v. A screen capture is attached. It's not halted. It will accept commands. If anyone has a suggestion to try something, let me know.

I haven't tried to install the release version but the beta was not installing properly on hyper-v. I'll give it a try on my WS 2012 hyper-v server and report back.
