Title: Change Language for squid error pages
Post by: schuert on April 09, 2020, 05:09:27 pm
how can i change language for squid error pages?

using custom conf files in .../post-auth/ didn't work since the automatically generated config has the wrong value as last option which overwrites everything i put in post-auth. changing the opnsense-language is not a sulution either, because i need german error languages for the users, i don't want a german admin gui. anyhow, this didn't work either.

only way to change the language was changing /usr/local/etc/squid/squid.conf directly, which will be overwritten the next time the config is regenerated. so whats the correct way to change error page language?

Use 20.7 where these pages can be customised.

dirty way but you can edit /usr/local/opnsense/service/templates/opnsense/proxy/squid.conf  to always set localized pages
