Morning,
after upgrading to 21.1.7 DNS Crypt server stopped logging.
dnscrypt-proxy2 2.0.45
Log / Queries
Log / NX
both logs are emtpy.
Restart
Log flushing
Service restart
No success..
Would you have me any recommendations?
thanks a lot!
cheers armin

Hey,
I think dns-crypt works per se, only the logs are empty. Same situation here, was okay on 21.1.6.
-
I have the same problem. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the log path containing a dash "-". Maybe the log viewer is broken somehow. I fixed it by removing the dashes from my log file paths. Now I go to /ui/diagnostics/log/dnscrypt/query instead of /ui/diagnostics/log/dnscrypt-proxy/query

Yes it does work per se.. Just the logs are empty which makes it pretty heavy to troubleshoot failing connections.
can this fix from vedalek been applied?
if so where exactly?
thanks!

The same here, confirm.
DNSCrypt-proxy works fine, but all DNSCrypt-proxy logs are empty in GUI.

Also on filesystem? Can you check via SSH?

Yes, I can check via SSH. Where the logs are located?
-
Logs are available at /var/log/dnscrypt-proxy/.
I can see queries, nx, and general dnscrypt-proxy.log, everything is updated.
The logs in the GUI are still empty.

Can you open a bug report in GitHub please?

Having the same issue, have logged an issue to GitHub:

It seems i also have this issue. Took me a while to find this topic. Is there any progress in fixing this matter?

Fix will come this weekend

Hi,
just a quick feedback: I patched in the changes and they work great. Thanks! ;D
-
I did an update to 21.1.9, but the problem still exists. Am i doing something wrong? Or where the patches not applied to the new opnsense release? I can't find anything on dnscrypt in the changelog.

Its not released yet, sorry
