It greatly depends on the components you are targeting.
Since we have FreeBSD ports, countless audits take place and CVEs are being fixed constantly. We try to stay up to date with the curve on that front.
In terms of our code we tend to refactor and rewrite what we deem insecure or outright sloppy, although the more exposure and audits we get the more secure we will become.
