1 WAN 2 VPNs 2 LANs tutorial
« on: July 19, 2019, 11:08:25 am »
Hello,

I recently purchased a DEC630 OPNSense router.

I'm trying to setup the router the following way:

1 WAN
OpenVPN client connection 1 -> LAN 1
OpenVPN client connection 2 -> LAN 2

Right now, I can only connect the 2 LANs with 1 OpenVPN client connection. But I'm unable to separate them properly.

Anybody here who knows how to do it ?

Many thanks.

Franck

Hi!

In the openVPN server config (Local network) you define, which networks are reachable for this VPN client.

The fine-tuning can be done on the Firewall -> Rules -> OpenVPN tab...

Don't forget to limit access from one LAN to the other by appropriate firewall rules on the respective interface, if you allow any-any, everything will be open. :-)

Hi Chemlud,

I think there is a misunderstanding.

My router is working and setup only in OpenVPN client mode. The remote VPN servers are VPN services provided by companies (like VyprVPN).
