Cannot get Intrusion Detection to work

After several years I thought I would give Intrusion Detection to work, but unlike before where I could get it to work but it seemed to cause too many issues in other firewall areas, this time it won't work at all. I've set it up with just one rule set, the OPNSense test one, changed it to alert and visited the test site. Nothing gets logged. BTW, can it alert and drop? Seems the GUI only allows one or the other.


I have a PPPoE based WAN connection, so I have left it out of the interfaces as I believe that is recommended but I have added it as test as well without any success. Attached to this post are screen shots of my settings.


I'm running: OPNsense 19.7.2-amd64
