Update 17.7.12_1 to 17.7.13 still planned?

Is the update from .12_1 to .13 as noted in the version messages still in the works? I reverted to 17.7.12 until I can sort out the issue I've had with OpenVPN.
BTW - thank you for all the hard work OpnSense team, it is appreciated and it is recognized that there's bound to be hic-ups in major version transitions. TIA

Hi Noctur,
There will be no 17.7.13. It was a possibility at the time that release note was written, but would then only affect package updates (mainly the security audit issues).
We are planning give out more frequent images with 18.1 as time permits and will also fix the upgrade path so people land in a known good 18.1.x. I believe we did the same in 17.7.5 with images and updates and that seemed to work for users.
To help chase your issue down we need two things -- well, the same thing really -- the contents of /tmp/rules.debug in your working 17.7.12_1 and in the non-working 18.1 environment, which you could force through a 18.1 image boot, hit the "any" key during early boot when prompted, select your hard disk to import the settings and let the live image boot up.
For all intents and purposes, both systems are the same minus the issue you are seeing. This is what one would call a try-before-buy upgrade and if one likes what one sees one starts the installer, if not one reboots. Also, I don't know why, but hardware behaviour can differ in FreeBSD minor versions which is more inconvenient than it is uncommon so this approach helps on most fronts.
If you have the files you can send them to franco@opnsense.org for inspection. Redact IPs as necessary, but in a way that we can diff both versions without chasing down alleys that resulted from typos or incomplete information.
Thank you,
Franco

Hi Franco,
Thank you for the reply! No worries, just checking on the .13 update. I'll spend a little time over the weekend and follow your recommendations.
Can't thank you and the team enough for what you do.
