[SOLVED] Where did the "periodic reset" option go?
« on: March 29, 2017, 07:12:16 pm »
Hey Guys,

shouldn't there be an option for the periodic reset of dialup connections? I am unable to find a way to make my pppoe connection reset at a given time.

I searched the forums, but all I came up with was this ancient thread from 2015
https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=657.msg2364#msg2364

Anything I am missing here?

Cheers,
Markus

Hi Markus,

It's under System: Settings: Cron, Command "Periodic Interface Reset". That's how it used to be implemented and we "cut out the middle man" in the interface settings.

One thing that is missing is an interface selection there, the parameter must be one of "wan", "lan", "opt1" etc... whatever the interface is that you want to periodically reset (normally it is "wan").

Cheers,
Franco
